Maria Clara Gómez is a Colombian anthropologist currently living in Antwerp, Belgium.
She has a BA from Hunter College in anthropology and linguistics. María has a multi-disciplinary background in media, visual anthropology and ethnography. Her blog is at http://diariodeviaje.typepad.com/. Maria is married to Peter Van Dijck and has a beautiful daughter Amelia Van Dijck.

2006 - 2007. The Colombia Migration Project was a series of video interviews with Colombian immigrants in New York and Colombians in Colombia planning to emigrate.
2005 - 2006. Maria worked at the Immigration and Health initiative in New York, doing ethnographic field research, data collection and analysis and managing the website.
